Google Founders Gain Additional $15 Billion Wealth as Alphabet’s AI Ambitions Stock Gain Surge.

Alphabet Inc., Google’s parent company, experienced a major boost in its market value as investors responded positively to reports that the technology giant is developing a new generation of artificial intelligence chips designed to power its advanced AI systems.

The stock rally pushed Alphabet shares higher by 2.8%, climbing above $356 per share and recovering from a 6.5% decline recorded during the previous two trading sessions. The surge added an estimated $15 billion to the combined fortunes of Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, who remain among the largest individual beneficiaries of Alphabet’s growth.

Page’s wealth increased by about $8 billion, while Brin’s fortune rose by approximately $7.4 billion during the trading session. According to Forbes’ real-time billionaire rankings, Page’s net worth reached $292.4 billion, placing him among the world’s wealthiest individuals, while Brin’s fortune climbed to $269.7 billion.

The market movement was largely driven by reports that Alphabet is working on a highly specialized artificial intelligence chip aimed at improving the efficiency and performance of its Gemini AI models.

According to a report by The Information, Google is developing an internal AI processor known as “Frozen v2,” a custom designed chip that would integrate closely with the architecture of the company’s Gemini artificial intelligence systems.

The proposed technology represents part of Alphabet’s broader strategy to reduce its dependence on external computing resources and strengthen control over the hardware powering its AI operations.

Engineers involved in the project reportedly believe the new chip could deliver significant improvements in energy efficiency compared with Google’s existing Tensor Processing Units (TPUs). The company expects the technology could help process significantly larger amounts of AI data while consuming less power, a major advantage as demand for artificial intelligence services continues to increase globally.

The development comes as technology companies face growing pressure to secure enough computing capacity to support the rapid expansion of AI products. The increasing demand for AI infrastructure has created shortages of advanced computing resources, affecting both internal projects and external customers seeking access to high performance systems.

Reports suggest Google could begin deploying the new chips as early as 2028 as part of efforts to address these challenges. However, the technology is expected to complement rather than completely replace Google’s existing AI hardware infrastructure.

Alphabet’s move reflects a wider trend across the technology industry, where major companies are increasingly designing their own chips to improve performance, reduce costs, and gain greater control over artificial intelligence development.

Alphabet has not publicly confirmed details of the reported chip project or provided official comments regarding the development.

The stock increase also comes ahead of Alphabet’s second-quarter earnings report, which investors are closely watching for signs of continued growth in its artificial intelligence and cloud businesses.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect Alphabet to report approximately $117.1 billion in revenue for the quarter, representing a 21% increase compared with the same period last year. Earnings are projected at $2.90 per share, reflecting expected annual growth of about 25%.

Google Cloud, which has become a major focus of Alphabet’s AI strategy, is expected to record significant growth, with analysts projecting revenue increases of about 65% as businesses continue adopting AI-powered services.

Meanwhile, Alphabet’s investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure is expected to remain substantial. Analysts estimate the company’s quarterly capital spending could reach around $45 billion, marking a significant increase as Google expands data centers and computing capacity to compete in the global AI race.

The latest market reaction highlights investors’ confidence that Alphabet’s long term artificial intelligence strategy could strengthen its position against rivals while creating new opportunities across cloud computing, software, and emerging AI technologies.

As competition in artificial intelligence intensifies, Alphabet’s ability to develop both advanced AI models and the hardware required to run them may become one of the defining factors shaping the company’s future growth.
